Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist Individual | Couples
I have a passion for helping people reconnect with core feelings - our inner truths and pathways to our authentic Self. I like to think of myself as a "Feelings Activist." I help people work against the many forces in our societies and personal histories that we internalize and thus contribute to our own avoidance and dismissal of our feelings.
My Training
I possess foundational training in relational and attachment theories and use an Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) framework. I work to maintain a stance of authenticity, openness, and warmth, fostering a strong therapeutic relationship.
I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Smith College and completed two year-long internships in Toronto at the Center for Mental Health and Addiction (CAMH) and the Sick Kids Center for Community Mental Health. I specialize in working with adults struggling with compulsive helping and with couples on relationship issues.
